Do you thrive on investigating and negotiating third-party Personal Injury claims, while constantly striving for the best possible outcome?A rapidly growing Insurance organisation, who are market leaders, are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Claims Handler who can manage some of their largest claims, often of millions of pounds in value.In this permanent role, you will have the opportunity to manage a challenging caseload of complex and high-value Personal Injury claims, utilising your expertise to conduct thorough investigations into indemnity, liability, and quantum.Collaborating with their Panel Solicitors, your role will involve developing strategies to achieve optimal results, particularly in catastrophic or multi-track claims exceeding £100k .Your strong negotiation skills and keen attention to detail will be vital in assessing claims, often working within agreed authority levels while maintaining a commercially astute approach.This is a role that can be performed on a hybrid working basis, between your home and their office.The main responsibilities of a Personal Injury Handler role include:Investigate and resolve high value, complex, and strategically important claims to ensure they are properly reserved and settled at optimum costEstablishing how and why events occurred and the legal liabilities which may ariseObtain all necessary evidence and relevant documentationCorrespond with all parties to the case quickly and professionallyObtain medical or expert evidence and wage information where appropriateNegotiate settlement where appropriate, in accordance with authority limitsInstruct and control defence solicitors, through to Trial if necessary.Ensure that costs are kept to a minimumProvide structured feedback on any Personal Injury claim outcome where wider technical benefit is identifiedAct as a Technical Referral point to provide excellent claims handling advice, actively support the enhancement of the technical performance of the wider claims departmentTo be a successful Personal Injury Claims Handler, you will demonstrate:Proven experience and success in managing catastrophic or multi-track claims exceeding £100kStrong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively challenge where appropriateGood understanding of industry procedures, products, and services in the Insurance sectorJBRP1_UKTJ
