As a Claims Handler, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional claims handling services to a designated portfolio of clients while contributing to the overall claims service provision to our esteemed clientele.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Manage claims from inception to conclusion, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other relevant parties.
Provide expert advice on policy coverage and facilitate the necessary documentation/information required to advance the claim process.
Negotiate with insurers to secure optimal and cost-effective settlements for our clients.
Ensure realistic and appropriate reserves are set in negotiation with insurers.
Maintain accurate records of claims on our internal systems and ensure timely updates.
Attend internal and external meetings as necessary, representing the company professionally.
Report major or sensitive claims to the accountable Account Executive.
Understand and adhere to appropriate claims notification and investigation procedures for each class of insurance.
Document client-specific claim handling arrangements for internal purposes.
Proactively perform claims cleanses and maintain a diary system for outstanding workload.
Prepare and maintain client claim experiences.
Undertake specific tasks directed by Claims Executives and management, adhering to agreed project plans and timelines.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Solid technical claims experience with a comprehensive understanding of the London Market.
Familiarity with relevant classes of business, particularly Real Estate and Property.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting claims experiences and analyses.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
Commitment to continuous learning and development, both internally and externally.
Strong time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Analytical and problem-solving aptitude, including research and investigation skills.
Understanding of regulatory controls and procedures.
Proficiency in ASSET and Microsoft Office suite.
CII qualifications would be advantageous.
