Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Civil Infrastructure Engineer - Required for my client to work in their office based in Sheffield. The successful Engineer will be working for an award winning consultancy firm with career longevity and an opportunity to join an inspiring team and be of high value.

The Civil Infrastructure Engineer will have general infrastructure design experience as well as residential infrastructure design experience, including drainage and highway design to adoptable standards (S38, S278, S104 and S206). The successful candidate will have a BSc or an MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent. They will also need to be Chartered or working towards Chartered status with ICE.

The candidate will need to have 3+ years experience in a similar role and will be mentoring and assisting Graduate Engineers where required.

Civil Infrastructure Engineer Position Overview

• Design and prepare highway designs including vertical and horizontal geometry. Highways and Drainage design experience (S278, 38, 104).
• Mentoring and assisting Graduate Engineers where required.
• Design and prepare drawings for surface water, sewer networks and external ground levels in the residential and commercial sectors.
• Preparing technical schedules.
• Work with specialist software for drainage and infrastructure designs including AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage/Windes.
• Embracing CPD, self-learning and personal development.
• Represent Eastwood at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
• Ensure project work is carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
• Communicate with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
• Ensuring that appropriate service/design decisions are met
• Coordinate your work with other members of the project team and ensure all relevant staff are informed of client matters.
