Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their growing civils team in York. The successful candidate would use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects within the civils sector.
Current projects include Highways, Drainage, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy.
The role:
Your primary focus will be to undertake civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
Maintain high technical standards and build strong relationships with colleagues.
Plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand and help to prioritise project delivery.
About you:
You should be a proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a Master's degree would be an advantage).
Ideally 1 to 3 years' post-graduate experience in civil & structural engineering.
Kenn to work towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Some experience in Civil 3D and/or MicroDrainage preferred.
A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
Knowledge of or interest in highways schemes
Full UK driving licence
