Job Description
Salter Grange are working with a London- based Structural/Civil Engineering Consultancy, currently seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join its dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of innovative engineering solutions for both permanent and temporary structures. The successful candidate will lead projects involving Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS), private/adoptable roads, and drainage systems, guiding them from conception to completion while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design SUDS, drainage systems, and pavements in compliance with the latest building regulations and codes.
Review and provide markups for drawings received from technicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Mentor and support junior graduates, fostering their professional development.
Lead and manage projects, overseeing all phases from initiation to delivery.
Represent the company as the project lead in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Organize specifications and ensure thorough documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Collaborate with local authorities, facilitating necessary approvals and permits.
Prepare comprehensive flood risk assessments to inform project design and planning.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, preferably within consultancy settings.
