Civil Engineer

Hello,

My client in Penrith is looking for a Civil Engineer due to expansion.

The successful candidate for this post will be an experienced chartered civil engineer with a strong design consultancy background.

Key elements to the civil engineering post would cover:-

• Drainage design which would assume fluency with WinDes design package.


• Highway design relative to design of access roads, pavements, hardstandings etc.


• SUDS design.


• Channel modelling using HecRas.


• Preparation of both Section 104 and Section 38 applications.


• Preparation of flood risk assessments.


• Design of flood protection measures.


• Liaise with regulatory bodies.


• Liaise with clients.


• Technical report preparation.


• Attendance of design and site meetings.


• Supervising technician/graduate engineers.


• Preparation of quotations.


• Managing project expenditure.


• Controlling workload.


• We would consider a UK driving license essential to carry out the above noted roles.


• Candidates must have a sound working knowledge of all relevant British Standards, Codes of Practise and CDM regulations.
