Civil Enforcement OfficerBased in Beverley, HU17Full time, permanent roleSalary £12:18 per hour plus overtimePrestige Recruitment Specialists are recruiting on behalf of the East Riding Council to employ Civil Enforcement Officer. This appointed candidate will provide an efficient and effective service of on street parking enforcement in order to minimise the number of contraventions by motorist of the local parking regulations though issuing of penalty charge notices and to provide the same service in respect of the council’s off street car parks.The appointed candidate will have:• Good all round education• Full clean driving license• Experience of working with the general public• Experience of parking controls enforcement• City and Guilds Level 2 Award for CEO’s• Ability to use handheld computer• Ability to complete daily paperwork• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely• Ability to carry of enforcement duties in a clear, polite and sympathetic manner• Fault tracing and minor repairs in pay and display machinesMain Responsibilities:• To serve PCN’s by handing them to the driver or by affixing them to the vehicle• To inspect council owned care parks and report defects• Will be responsible for gritting council car parks and ensuring that sufficient supplies of salt and grit are available• To check that parking signs and road markings are accurate• To check pay and display machines are in working order and replenish ticket reels as required• To inspect and identify faults on pay and display machines• To carry out minor repairs on pay and display machines• To download data from pay and display machines on dedicated PC terminal• To be the first point of contact for the public for parking and other general council information• To monitor and report changes in parking patterns• To identify and report any suspected abandoned vehicles• To operate council vehicles as directed• To provide written witness statements if required to TPT hearings• To assist with council approved events on car parks• To report Streetscene issues to the relevant sectionsDuties are not limited to those listed aboveIf you are interested and meet the above criteria, please send your CV to ##### or call the Commercial team on 01482 382 301 if you have any queries.Please note: Prestige Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer with 30 years of service within the recruitment & staffing sector.For further help with this position contact ourBusiness Support department by clicking the contact link below.
