Let our Talent team know if you need any adjustments throughout the process in whatever way works best for you.Job DescriptionThe Role:We are looking for a motivated & experienced Circularity & Sustainability Partner to join the team here at ASOS. This person needs to be a proven team player who would welcome building & maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams at ASOS as well as external stakeholders. The role reports into the Head of Sustainability. We are looking for a self-motivator who takes ownership of their responsibilities & fully supports companywide KPI's, driving Fashion with Integrity, profit & business growth.You will build a comprehensive strategy for delivering business opportunities within the circular economy & lead our circular design programme. Driving engagement across ASOS product development teams and supply chain to progress our Fashion with Integrity programme.What you'll be doing... Lead and oversee development and delivery of ASOS' own brand circular design strategy; including successful delivery of circular design collections, our circular design tools, policies, training and long term strategy with measurable targets/KPIs.Identify & drive strategic growth opportunities in circularity and sustainability.Partner with commercial teams (buying, design, merchandising, garment technology, fabric sourcing & technical and chemical compliance) to implement circular design into their product strategies with a view to making consistent improvements against our targets.Able to create and implement new circular design due diligence processes and best practices that support the ASOS commercial team and supply chain.Working closely with the fabric sourcing team to access the best fabrics for circular design as part of the wider ASOS Fashion with Integrity initiative, as well as working closely with the fabric technical team on the latest product durability standards.To develop and implement circular design KPIs to monitor and record ASOS circular design products and progress against targets.Create and deliver training to commercial teams (buying, design, merchandising, garment technology, fabric sourcing & technical) & key suppliers on our circular design strategies.Work closely with key suppliers to ensure they understand and embed the circular design strategy and policy. Providing training and additional support to develop our ASOS circular design products & collections.To manage relationships and projects with our circular fashion partners.Be a circularity ambassador, representing ASOS at industry events to share our learnings and insights.Launch circular business models in the UK market, initially focusing on takeback schemes and recycling.Must be highly confident, persuasive & clear to deliver presentations to large team groups and engage senior leadership team.Keeping abreast of ESG legislation with a good awareness of how the legislation applies to ASOS.Support sustainability team on development of new policies, processes and tools to ensure these are robustly implemented throughout our suppliers working with ASOS own product and 3rd Party Brands.Support the Sustainability team and Data Partner as required on external reporting needs where needed for ASOS Plc website, annual CR Report, NGO's activities.Be Sustainability Team point of contact for selected sustainable product marketing stories/campaigns, reviewing and approving marketing copy and co-ordinating with marketing, buying and other teams as needed. QualificationsEssential skills/experience:Is deeply passionate about sustainable fashion and can demonstrate successes in this area.Has held a previous role(s) in retail fashion sector - ideally 3-5 years, ideally with Sustainability and Circularity experience.Strong experience of working in or with commercial/buying teams, product development and supplier engagement.Has strong product manufacturing, material, and fabric knowledge.Robust project management experience and problem-solving skills.Track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines and employs a flexible approach to challenging strategies and situations.Can lead a programme of work with ambitious KPI's/ targets, analysing data to report progress against target and inform strategy development.Can work as part of a team as well as work on your own and make decisions.Self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative and respond quickly to change.Excellent people skills, including working effectively with diverse teams and cross functional stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, with experience and ability to communicate complex/technical information to non-expert audiences including retail audiences and customers/public.Must have excellent presentation skills that are confident, succinct, and persuasive.Is building a strong external sustainability network ideally within fashion retail, keeping abreast of industry developments.Additional InformationWhat's in it for you...Generous salary, bonus and pension matchingGreat development programmeAmazing offices and great culture25 days holiday plus a celebration daySubsidised gym and canteenHuge staff discount and regular sample salesLife insurance, medical care, cycle to work schemeand tons more...
