The Barbican is looking for a passionate and driven Cinema Administration Assistant to join their team.About the organisationThe Barbican is an international arts, conference and education centre in the heart of the City of London. Our programme ranges from thematic seasons and ongoing series to new release films, Screen Talks, film festivals, family screenings, collaborations with our colleagues in different artistic disciplines and event cinema of performing arts such as theatre and music productions.We strive to be inclusive in everything we do, by providing platforms for the widest possible range of filmmakers from around the world, and ensuring we are an open, welcoming and accessible venue for all our audiences.About the personAn exciting opportunity is available within the Cinema team, for passionate and driven Cinema Administration Assistant. This role is integral in providing the administrative support for the team in delivering our departmental and organisational objectives. There is a focus on administration and operations, including film distributors liaison and communication with internal and industry contacts.Do you have excellent attention to detail, and demonstrable time management and organisational skills? Do you like working as part of a team in a dynamic operational role within a busy environment? Are you a natural communicator and with good writing skills? Does the prospect of working in a large arts venue setting and being part of a cinema team excite you?If you have previous administrative experience, enjoy being responsible for smooth operations, a passion for teamwork and great customer service, then we want to hear from you.
