Are you resilient and empathetic leader, with the drive and ability to inspire practice improvements in a multi-disciplinary staff team and positive change in vulnerable young people who can be hard to engage with? Do you have a good understanding of trauma informed child and adolescent development, a restorative and solution focused approach, and relevant experience? If the answer is yes, the role of Team Manager could be the right opportunity for you to be a key leader within this national resource.
We care for 24 young people aged 10 to 18 who are referred to us following court proceedings, placed on remand, or sentenced to a period of detention, or because they need to be placed in secure accommodation for their own safety or the safety of others.
You will be responsible for the management of an eight bedded secure children's home supported by 21 residential staff. You will oversee the quality of care for young people as well as developing your team to ensure that they are solution fussed and trauma informed practitioners who are committed to working within a multidisciplinary service.

About the role
As our next Team Manager, you will: -
Contribute proactively to the positive development of the home.
Develop residential practitioners to deliver person centred, emotional and trauma informed care.
Ensure that staff are rota'd, deployed effectively, efficiently, and economically.
Assess individual needs and provide appropriate interventions to meet the level of the complex issues and risks associated with the behaviours identified.
Develop and sustain effective working and information sharing protocols with colleagues and external partner agencies to ensure an integrated service is provided, delivered, and maintained.
Work alongside the homes Head Teacher, Health Care Lead and Casework and Interventions Manager in coordinating, monitoring, and attending all reviews for the young people, ensuring these are scheduled and held within timescales.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualification for this post is Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce. The Level 3 Diploma replaces the previous Level 3 NVQ.
Existing qualifications are still valid, and you will not need to retake qualifications.
If you do not hold the QCF, Level 5, Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People Services you must be willing to register to commence the course within 3 months of taking up your appointment and complete in a reasonable amount of time. You must also work towards QCF Assessors award.

Working towards QCF Assessors award
Experience Required
Of work in day/night-based Residential or Youth Justice settings
Of work with young people with identified mental health, other health care needs or barriers to learning.
