Overview:

  • Title: Children Support Worker
  • Pay: £13.38 - £26.76 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • Location: Brecon
  • Hours: Flexible pattern available, pick and choose the shifts you want every week. 12-hour shift pattern including days and waking nights

The main responsibilities of a support worker includes:

  • Ensuring physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;
  • Supporting residents during recreational activities within the services and out in the community
  • Promoting independence and celebrating achievements and milestones of the residents;
  • Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and any incidents should they arise;
  • General housekeeping duties depending on the service and it's requirements

We are looking for people who care and have:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working within a care setting in the UK
  • A compassionate and caring nature
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
