Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are looked for expeirnced support workers based across RCT and the surroundiung areas to work in residential childrens homes & supprting looked after children. All of the children you will be supporting have varuious challanges, such as challenging behaviour, complex mental health issues, EBD's and other needs.
Responsibilities:
- Providing support: Engage in conversations, align with interests, redirect behaviours, and de-escalate tense situations.
- Monitoring: Document activities such as food intake, financial transactions, behaviours, hobbies, and interests.
- Collaboration: Adhere to established rules and boundaries in care plans and risk assessments. Collaborate effectively with team members and work together to achieve positive outcomes for the young people.
- Safeguarding: Familiarise with care plans and risk assessments, make informed decisions to ensure safety based on the documents & your experience.
- Day-to-Day Tasks: Support daily requirements outlined in care plans, including escorting to school, appointments, etc. Listen to the young people and be adaptable to their needs.
- Liaising with Professionals: Communicate with Social Workers, CAMHS, medical professionals, provide detailed updates.
Compensation:
- Competitive wages ranging from �16.00per hour to �20.25
- Holiday pay or 12.5% increase available if you choose not to take holiday pay eg: �16.00 per turns into �18.00per hour without Holiday pay.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving license and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Minimum 6 months experience in children's residential care or as a support worker.
Desired Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (Children) or Level 3 Residential Children's Care.
- 1 year+ experience as a children's support worker.
- Additional training: PBM/PMVA/Team Teach or other behavioural management training.
