Job Title: Children's Supported Living Registered Manager

Halcyon Care (West Midlands) Ltd is proud to be working with a leading Supported Living provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support services to individuals in need. Our mission is to ensure that every person in our care receives the support they need to live a fulfilling and independent life. As they continue to grow and expand, they are seeking an experienced Registered Manager in the Yardley Wood area of Birmingham to join our team and help us maintain and improve our services. We have recently placed other candidates with this company and the feedback for the Directors and company ethos is fabulous. This will be a rewarding role.

Location: West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Social Care

Secondary Industry: Supported Living

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of the supported living facility for children.
  • Develop and implement care plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure high-quality care is provided.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Manage financial budgets and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide the best care possible.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Manager with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience working with children in a care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a managerial role within a children's care setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and welfare.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with regular visits to the supported living facility.
  • May require evening and weekend work.
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour and emotional situations.
