Milk Education are recruiting on behalf of a Special School in Harrogate that cater for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues. The school are recruiting for a Children's Mental Health Teaching Assistant that will work on a term time only basis from September 2024, and work 08.30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday. As a Children's Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Class Teacher with delivering the lessons, keeping pupils engaged, managing behaviour and in some cases responding to pupils in crisis.

* Following School Policies
* Assisting Cass Teacher with delivering lessons
* Following pupils EHCP's

Children's Mental Health Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

● Must have recent/relevant experience working with children or adults with mental health issues

● Must be comfortable working with children who display challenging behaviour

● Must have Maths and English C and above at GCSE Level
