Children’s Senior Social Worker

Team: Academy Locality Team
Location: Wigan

Hours: 37 and HYBRID WORKING
Rate: £40 per hour
A Children’s Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner is required for the Academy Locality Team in Wigan.
The role requires carrying a reduced case load and supporting ASYE’s during their first year in practice.
Experience in Child Protection, Child in Need and Court proceedings is essential as well as having some supervisory experience
Flexible/compressed hours available
Predominantly office based with hybrid working on occasion

DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Social Work England registration
Post qualification experience
Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
One year minimum post qualified experience in Children’s Social Work
Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
Possess knowledge of service needs.
Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
