Job DescriptionService Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Childcare Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis. Please find below further details regarding the role and the requirements for the position.Please note that this role would require office attendance 1 day per week.The RoleTo manage and progress a full caseload of Childcare Law matters through to completionCases will be related to children’s social care, public law care proceedings, child protection, adoption and fostering and public law duties in relation to children in need and looked after childrenTo undertake advocacy up to contested hearingsThe PersonA qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with a minimum of 12 months PQE within Childcare LawExperience in dealing with public childcare matters on behalf of a public sector organisation would be essentialComfortable in undertaking care proceedings when required to do soThe BenefitsFlexible working arrangementsWeekly payroll options
