Chief Pharmacist / Luxury Private Hospital

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Pharmacist to join a Pharmacy Team in a Leading Private Hospital near Kingston Upon Thames.
Chief Pharmacist Job Role:
As the Chief Pharmacist, you will have overall responsibility for the safe and secure handing of medicines in the hospital, whilst ensuring a high quality, safe pharmacy services across the hospital. You will be committed to both managing the Pharmacy team and undertaking clinical shifts to meet the clinical needs of the department.
Chief Pharmacist Duties:
Patient Care
Ensuringthe pharmacy service puts the patient first, including in the provision of information about medicines and support with effective use of medicines.
Ensuringmedicines are optimized throughout the patient pathway, starting at pre-op assessment clinic, through to transfer of care / discharge.
Clinical
Ensuringmedicine reconciliation is undertaken with 24-48 hours of admission and compile relevant patient's medication history to facilitate a quality assurance of the prescription chart.
Communicating recommendations on medicines optimisation to doctors, nurses and other relevant healthcare professionals.
