If you are up for a challenge and are willing to work hard, working with us will give you a fulfilling and varied careerAs the Chief Operating Officer, you'll be working closely with EXCO and the Board to deliver on the strategic vision of the company and to meet targets for franchise growth, risk management, colleague engagement and financial performance. All leaders help shape the culture of the organisation.You'll provide strategic oversight to both the client relationship and the operational delivery to define and deliver the strategic vision for Servicing Operations to be a trusted partner of choice to our clients and future prospects. You'll deliver great client and customer experiences whilst ensuring profitable client relationships and high performance, value-added servicing solutions to exceed client expectations and meet turnover, profitability, and growth targets. You'll define a clear vision & set the strategic direction of the core products and service offerings for the business. You will direct and implement these products and teams to align with client and audience needs and business ambitions.Please note this is a Certified role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) and is subject to ongoing fitness and propriety. Further details of your responsibilities as a Certified individual can be found in the SM&CR Policy.Day to day activities will include:Effectively determine and acquire resources required to deliver services in line with contractual agreement as well as the on-boarding of new services, developing a multi-skilled team to maximise flexibilityProvide accurate management information regarding the operational performance of the portfolios to clients and the Executive committee monthlyResponsible for all debt administration and arrears activities within TargetResponsible for the customer complaints management framework and policy, ensuring compliance with DISPResponsible for adherence to the vulnerable customer policy and frameworkEnsure that treating customers fairly is at the heart of our culture and that we deliver customer outcomes that are fair and appropriate and embed this approach in all customer interactions on behalf of our clients.Work with other departments to champion new technology to develop systems and processes which encourage a lean servicing operationEnsure that a robust system of risk management is effective through effective governance, controls, and cultureLead the Quality Assurance, Forecasting and Resource Planning to ensure both quality and resourcing are optimisedOversee the development and action of strategic account management plans to deliver long-term mutually beneficial relationship achieving both agreed client objectives and Target objectivesBe the point of escalation of all client critical issuesSupport pre-sales activities with operational expertise to secure new business winsMeet the Operational, Product and Client annual budget and to lead the drive for greater efficiency meeting the targets agreedLead and instil a strong commercial approach across the team, to deliver all services, projects, and programmes within budget and to highlight opportunities for increased revenue from the activities that fall outside of the project or programme remitIdentify and exceed the agreed the levels of change revenue generated from the existing client base ensuring the profitability of each change request and contributing to the overall profitability targets of the companyRequirementsYou're someone who is:An innovative thinker who can combine technology, systems, and processes in innovative waysPersonable and able to build positive relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyOrganised and able to plan and manage projects through to completionAble to influence, negotiate and address conflict of views appropriatelyRisk and commercially awareGreat leadership skills with the ability to coach others to maximise potentialYou're someone who has the following experience:Ability to obtain and maintain approval to perform the FCA Controlled Function of Chief Operating OfficerDemonstrable experience in an outsourced operation would be desirableSignificant experience in leading large teams in a Financial Services regulated environment to deliver excellent resultsDemonstrable Experience overseeing product development initiatives and roadmaps from conception to launchDemonstrable experience of understanding market conditions to best inform significant product and business decisionsDemonstrable experience of identifying and managing risks appropriately whilst effectively balancing commercial demandsDemonstrable experience of taking responsibility for profit and loss, budgets, and forecastsDemonstrable experience of building client relationships and balancing the needs of stakeholders whilst winning their supportIn-depth knowledge of FCA regulations and how they impact the operationAbility to make effective decisions which balance the needs and interests of the business, its clients and end customersDemonstrable experience of influencing operations and the regulatory standards under which they operateBenefitsAs well as a competitive salary from £160,000 we also offer:30 days holiday plus bank holidaysDefined Pension Contribution Scheme (Employer matched up to 6%)Employee Discount Scheme, access to discounts and offers across 100s of leading retailers.Company Paid Private Medical Insurance (benefit in kind)Group Life AssuranceGroup Income ProtectionAnnual Pay ReviewDiscretionary Annual Bonus SchemeHelp@Hand - Confidential access to health and wellbeing support to include Employee Assistance ProgramFree Flu Vaccinations, Eye Tests and employer contribution towards glassesRecognition SchemeFree Mortgage Advice and SupportMy Flex, our flexible benefits scheme gives colleagues access to additional benefits to supplement their core package.
