Role Description
We’re searching for a talented Chief Growth Officer to lead agency growth for UM in the UK.
As the driving force behind growth, you will champion our innovative work, products, and services to top-tier clients. You’ll be the strategic advisor, shaping the future of our agency alongside the brightest minds in the industry.
This role is tailor-made for dynamic individuals who thrive on pushing boundaries and creating new possibilities. You’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicates to cementing UM’s reputation as a powerhouse in the UK media landscape.
Reporting directly to the UM UK & Ireland CEO, and sitting on the UK executive leadership team, you’ll have opportunities to make your mark. You’ll also lead and inspire a talented Business Development team. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
New Business
Leading and orchestrating all facets of new business initiatives.
Crafting a prospecting pool and nurturing a robust pipeline for sustained growth.
Pioneering a streamlined and transparent process for new business, including a polished pitch framework.
Elevating engagement standards with prospective clients to ensure excellence at every touchpoint.
Providing concise and real-time reporting for informed decision making.
Innovating strategies to captivate and entice new clients to the UM fold.
Efficiently allocating resources to support pitches across UM UK.
Overseeing the aesthetic and messaging of all new business collateral.
Coaching the pitch team to craft compelling materials and presentations, instilling confidence, and igniting their passion for excellence.
Marketing and Exposure
Proactively expanding UM’s market footprint in the UK and Ireland, fostering a robust brand presence.
Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Consultants and Intermediaries to build on our pipeline and bolster pitch conversations.
Taking the helm on external content initiatives for UM UK, ensuring our narrative resonates with our target audience.
Leadership
Nurturing, mentoring and empowering our Business Development team to reach their full potential.
Managing new business-related budgets.
Facilitating seamless collaboration with the IPG and IPG Mediabrands New Business teams to leverage collective strengths.
As Pitch lead, liaise with all key internal stakeholders throughout the process including finance, legal, investment and specialist teams.
Delegating responsibilities within the team to optimise efficiency and utilisation of resources.
Desired Skills & Experience
You have Media agency experience and proven new business skills with the ability to lead, project manage all the components of a new business pitch.
You are a confident communicator with the ability to adapt tone of voice that resonates with different audiences.
You are a confident and motivated leader who is able to collaborate well with senior management, employees, clients, pitch consultants, and vendors at all levels.
You have a strong presence in the industry and are confident representing UM internally and externally.
You have strong commercial skills with an emphasis on ROI.
You have high energy and enthusiasm for media.
You have a good understanding of media in the UK market.
