Chief Finance Officer

We are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for the appointment of a new Chief Finance Officer to join the Diocesan Multi Academy Trust, based at their office in Ipswich. You will lead the financial strategy for the trust and support the 21 Church of England primary schools across Suffolk. You will have both a strategic leadership and a technical role, ensuring sound financial management, managing contracts, preparing and monitoring budgets and ensuring the delivery of annual consolidated accounts.Responsibilities include:Provide accurate and timely financial information and ensure regulatory complianceProvide professional advice and support to the headteachersLead the finance team and the wider finance function across all schools in monitoring and controlling financial operationsPrepare consolidated year end accounts for the Multi Academy Trust (MAT)Produce timely, accurate and appropriate reports and financial forecasts for the MAT Board and Finance and Audit CommitteeLiaise with external auditors and take appropriate action on any audit report findingsKey skills: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualified experienceHave an in-depth understanding of internal financial controls and complianceExperience from the public/charity sector would be preferred but not essentialAbility to work to strict deadlinesManage and mentor teams across the MATExcellent communicatorPlease contact Amy Perks at Pure for more information
