The post-holder will be expected to liaise closely withFirefly’s Artistic Director, and actively support Firefly’s team of skilled arts practitioners, artists andtechnical specialists. The CEO post will be supported by Firefly’s p/t administrator and bookkeeper.Known for outstanding quality Firefly is West Lothian’s top provider of accessible drama, film, music, visual arts,dance and creative writing activity for children and young people aged 5 to 25 years.Our workshops, school, community and training programmes provide a safe and supportive environment for participantsto explore their world and challenge themselves. Our vision is that all young people in West Lothian areconfident, creative and resourceful and are skilled up for positive and proactive futures.This is a full-time post, based at Howden Park Centre, Livingston. The successful applicant will be required to workoccasional evening and weekend hours, and to travel to projects across West Lothian. Applicants should evidence at least five years managerial experience, be ableto cultivate strategic partnerships and generate grant funding.Bo’ness Railway Station (home of the Museum) (Hybrid)Closing30th April 2024ObjectivesThe Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) owns the Museum of Scottish Railways and the Bo’ness and KinneilRailway and manages the core collection that has been Recognised as being of National Significance through theScottish Government’s Recognition Scheme. Most of the collection is owned by the Scottish Railway MuseumCollections Trust (SRMCT) and SRPS manages it on behalf of the owner. Visitors to the Bo’ness and KinneilRailway can see parts of the collection and other rolling stock in operation on the railway and visit the Museumof Scottish Railways.The post holder will work with our collection to enhance continually its presentation, documentation, storage and useof a searchable online collections database. There will also be a requirement to work closely with the Board andwith a team of volunteers.
