Multi Trades Recruitment are looking for an experienced Chef for a job based in Portsmouth , for work within a Hospital. We are looking for someone who already holds a DBS certificate. About The Job Shifts 37.5 Hours Working a week Shifts are 6.00 - 14.00 / 8.00 - 16.00 / 11.00 - 19.00 7 Days Working , 2 Days off 8 Days Working , 4 Days Off 2/3 Weekends working General chef duties will include: Communicate information relating to food service requirements to staff and other members of the public both verbally and by telephone Provide information to various stakeholders on food service including recipes, ingredients, and allergen information Responsible for the correct operation of kitchen equipment Cook food to the highest standard, by following recipes, production planning and allergen information Take a lead role in chef theatre cooking, special and theme menus Ensure health and safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered too and report any health and safety issues to the person in charge Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the department, including personal hygiene Ensure equipment is cleaned properly and fit for use' by the start of next shift Prepare patient special diets and provide information to dieticians, ward staff and housekeepers Carry out internal ordering of provisions in the absence of the person in charge It is possible that on occasion the post holder may be asked to work in other areas of the facilities service. This is not expected to be frequent or regular basis and would only take place after appropriate training and support was given £14.00 Weekly pay About You Must hold a DBS certificate Must be available to work the shifts given Must have an NVQ Level 3 in Cookery or Catering Food safety Level 2 is required Allergy Level 2 Training Significant experience in catering environments producing for large numbers Ability to work on own initiative, Able to produce high standards of work in a pressurised environment, ability to understand the needs of the customers in the hospital environment Please apply with an up to date CV for a call back
