Are you a skilled and passionate Chef or Chef De Partie who thrives working in a busy kitchen with the opportunity to put your own flare and creativity into the dishes you prepare? Maybe you are looking for a Chef or Chef De Partie role that has no late evenings and unsocial hours where you can work Between 8:00am to 5:00pm and have more of a work life balance?

We have an immediate ongoing temporary requirement and a fantastic opportunity for a Chef or Chef De Partie to join the team at one of our NHS clients based in Bury. Offering full time hours over a 7-day rota, Between 8:00am to 5:00pm, NO late evenings, Rota in the week and one day at the weekend, salary of �23400 basic, gain exposure to supporting an NHS organisation, permanent contract and the flexibility to be creative!

What will you be doing as a Chef for the NHS?

  • Using your great culinary skills to prepare meals for the residents in the unit
  • Enjoy working in a busy main kitchen in an environment that you thrive in
  • Put your passion and flare into the dishes your create
  • Providing between 40-70 meals per day including hot and cold dishes for the residents and staff to enjoy
  • Ensure that all food items are stored and prepped in line with safety standards
  • Actively engage with menu items
  • Maintain great working relationships with your team
  • Enjoy organising special functions such as Summer BBQs and Winter Fayres
  • Keep close eye on stock rotations

What skills and experience will you need as a Chef for the NHS?

  • Have worked in Sous Chef, Chef or Chef de Partie roles
  • Are very knowledgeable on Food Safety and COSHH regulations to make sure your dishes and preparation areas are hygienic and safe
  • You're a passionate team player and love working in a team who all pull together and do their part
  • Have a Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS certificate or be happy to make the investment and go through an application
  • Enjoy creating great dishes to serve to your customers
