Working alongside a consultancy based in Manchester looking to grow their expansive team of within the property sector with the addition of a Chartered Building Surveyor.

With one of the largest teams of chartered surveyors in the property sector, spread across regional offices throughout the UK, they possess extensive experience, expertise, and local insight to assist their clients at every stage of property investment, ownership, and occupation, from acquisition to disposal.

Required Experience

• Degree from a relevant field, approved by RICS.
• Chartered MRICS.
• Proficient in advising on commercial, healthcare, or educational properties in either the public or private sector.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
• Familiar with NBS Chorus.
• Holder of a valid UK Driving Licence.

Your role will include;

• Lead and develop comprehensive briefs in collaboration with clients and senior colleagues.
• Establish and cultivate client relationships.
• Provide support for business development initiatives led by senior colleagues.
• Conduct site surveys, encompassing measured surveys, condition surveys, and defect analysis.
• Develop designs and specifications, including the preparation of tender documentation.
• Manage building contracts, including those governed by JCT and NEC.
• Execute various aspects of professional surveying work, such as condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice, as well as Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other consultants, both internally and externally.
