Inclusive Consulting is thrilled to be exclusively partnered with Rotherham Hospice in their search for Trustees to join their existing board and help to inform and shape the strategic direction of the Hospice.
You will ideally be a senior leader in your field with experience of governance compliance. We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals with expertise across business, law, finance, healthcare, nursing or medicine.
You will help drive the charities mission, challenging where appropriate to drive the progress of the Charity’s mission. You will be up-to-date with the latest legislative regulations and governance to ensure that the Charity remains compliant with all relevant regulations.
Rotherham Hospice recognises the value and importance of a diverse range of experience across the board and welcome applications from senior professionals from various and multiple backgrounds.
This is a voluntary role requiring you to attend 3 board meetings annually plus one annual Board away day for a term of 3 years.

Key Responsibilities (depending on your area of expertise) may include:
that Rotherham Hospice complies with its governing document, charity law, company law (if applicable), and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
to the development and review of the hospice's strategic plan and objectives.
the hospice's financial affairs, ensuring its viability and that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.
and manage potential risks to the hospice, ensuring robust systems are in place for risk assessment and management.
and enhance the reputation of Rotherham Hospice and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, the community, and funders.
on one or more sub-committees, such as Finance & Investments, Quality, HR and Remuneration, or Governance & Nominations, contributing specific expertise and helping to drive forward strategic objectives in these areas.
in the appointment of new Trustees and the evaluation of the Board's performance.
