Chargehand Machinist

Connect Appointments are seeking a Chargehand Machinist for work in Aberdeen!

Pay rates: £18.27 to £20.31 + shift allowance and overtime

Schedule: 40 hours per week

• Day shift - Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm
• Back shift - Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2am

Working as a Chargehand Machinist:

• Operating cranes, plant and equipment safely and effectively
• Supporting the Production Manager to run the workshop in an efficient fashion
• Assisting machinists in creating and editing programs
• Ensuring process compliance and adherence to all quality procedures, standards and directives, as well as the client's health & safety policies
• Assisting in the reviewing of contracts for work orders
• Operating CNC lathes on occasion if required

The ideal Chargehand Machinist will have:

• The ability to program and operate CNC lathes
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• A good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
• Strong communication skills
