It’s a career that you can take pride in and enjoy.It’s what delivering great healthcare should feel like.What you will be doingWith previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a mental healthsetting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork.As a Charge Nurse, you’ll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well. You'll also;Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and supportMake critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaborationNo two days will be the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.Things that you will have
A relevant nursing qualification NMC registrationA positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionateA commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practiceRelevant experience in a similar environmentProven track record of leadership skillsWhere you will be workingLocation:Springwood Lodge, Guiseley, LS20 9PQSituated in the small town of Guiseley on the outskirts of Leeds the service is surrounded by beautiful countryside with easy access to all local amenities.Patients may be detained under The Mental Health Act (1983), and subject to Ministry of Justice restrictions or Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They usually require higher levels of physical and relational security than provided by community services, but do not meet the criteria for secure services. Patients may present with challenging behaviour and self-harm and require a period of stabilisation before they commence their rehabilitation program.Facilities include 22 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, modern comfortable and homely communal living space with a lawn and walled court yard garden.
