We have excellent opportunity an experienced Clinical Team Lead also known as Charge Nurse, to manage a team of registered nurses and care assistants in a neurological centre in Aberdeen. This role is a 37.5hr week with a salary range of �38247 - �43331

As the Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • You will have responsibility to ensure effective performance management of all clinical staff in line with company policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal and discipline.
  • To lead the nursing team in developing the quality of nursing care, acting as a source of support and advice to colleagues and relatives
  • To ensure that clinical care is provided in line with multi professional, evidence based care plans, is timely and appropriate and that company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, family/carers over their care

The sucessful Charge Nurse will have the following skills/attributes:

  • Registered Nurse or degree level qualification, possible further study.
  • Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care depending on service requirement. Committed to service user involvement.
  • Demonstrable experience of practising in a self-directed and highly motivated way
  • An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
  • Able to effectively manage change and manage performance
  • Clinical leadership skills
