In Substation you’ll find:state-of-the-art fitness and yoga studiotreatment roombouldering wall and training facilitiesdedicated kids only climbing area for ages 2-10 yearsstrength and conditioning, and cardio gymcafé serving freshly prepared food and drinkswork space with super-fast Wi-FiIn fact, at Substation, you can work from the café, see an osteopath/physio, do a fitness class and go bouldering all in one day, hence that varied aspect of the role.The role and responsibilities:Over seeing the daily operations of the bouldering wall, including staffing and customer service.Creating and maintaining an efficient rotaDeveloping retail targets and ensuring they are metUp keeping excellent customer relations and serviceResponding to customer inquiries and resolve any customer service issuesMaintaining a strong and enthusiastic spirit within the teamEnsuring the safe and efficient operation of the bouldering wall, including enforcing safety rulesFostering positive relationships with local climbing organisations, suppliers, and businessesBuilding on existing community relationshipsWorking in unison with marketing teamWhat we’re looking for in a candidate:A “can do” attitudeAt least two years management experience in a leisure, hospitality or retail environmentExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsA passion for promoting positive lifestyle choices within a communityPrivate Healthcare Package for all full-time employeesFree climbing at Substation gyms and reciprocal free entry to many gyms across LondonFree fitness classesAll staff receive at least the London living wageHuge emphasis on staff wellbeing and progressionWarm and welcoming environment29 days annual leave, increasing by one day for every year worked (up to a max of 5)Scope to specialise in areas of personal expertiseThe job is full-time (40 hours per week) with a salary of £40k - £55k, depending on experience.Apply with your CV and a cover letter by emailing the hiring manager.
