We have an exciting opportunity for a Cell Culture Technician to join a leading Biotech company based in London. As the Cell Culture Technician you will be working as part of the research and development team, operating mammalian tissue culture systems to support the production team in cultivating cells into adipocytes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Cell Culture Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Cell Culture Technician, you will work within the production team using aseptic techniques to cultivate cells into adipocytes.
2. You will bring adherent cells from cryogenic storage up to the final product in a variety of vessels.
3. As Cell Culture Technician you will support the team by preparing media solutions and performing cell culture and routine lab operations.
4. You will work alongside engineers, biologists and mathematicians to execute novel protocols and technologies to drive towards large-scale manufacture.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Culture Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Bio/chemical discipline (e.g. Biochemical Engineering or Biomanufacturing)
2. Proven industry experience with mammalian cell culture in flasks and sterile media preparation.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience working aseptically including in biosafety cabinets.
