Security Engineer - Birmingham - £32k-£38k

Our client are a leading expert in security mitigation. The client's goal is to provide a comprehensive, professional, and cost-effective security solution to clients throughout the UK.

Role Details:
Salary: £32k-£38k dependent on experience, plus monthly bonus, overtime when applicable, call-out rate, company vehicle, standard holidays, uniform, and medical insurance.

Main Objectives:

  • Execute the installation and commissioning of security systems, including CCTV, Intruder Alarm, and Access Control.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes of practice SSAIB SS2002, SS2004, and PD662, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and in line with industry best practices and guidelines.
  • Deliver security systems installations and operations that optimise our client's market share and savings, improve efficiency, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Specifics to the Role:

  • Install and commission monitored Intruder Alarm systems to specification.
  • Install and commission monitored CCTV systems to specification, including mobile app setup.
  • Competently fulfill "On-Call Engineer" rota duties.
  • Complete and submit OC08 / OC84 forms into EMCS.
  • Perform CCTV and Intruder Alarm (monitored) PPM as per client maintenance agreements and/or warranties.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment.
  • Consult with clients to assess risks and determine security requirements.
  • Determine required equipment sources and implement correct equipment use and maintenance.
  • Adhere to our client's Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety procedures.
  • Set quality standards in line with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:#####.
  • Prioritize own time and work independently to achieve target dates and meet budgets.
  • Communicate operational information to the required departments within our client.
  • Ensure company vehicle(s), equipment, and materials under your control are fit for use, maintained, deployed, and stored correctly.
  • Continually seek to improve operations through planning, sound leadership, performance evaluation, and adherence to the PLAN, DO, CHECK, REVIEW methodology.

Licenses and Experience Required:

  • Full clean driving license.
  • CSCS Card (Minimum - Labourer).
  • IPAF License.
  • Minimum 5-year auditable work history.
