Catering Supervisor

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Catering Supervisor to join Lancashire County Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Job Purpose

• Manage Catering and Domestic teams to ensure a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness is established and maintained within budget.


• Manage the work of catering and domestic teams to ensure staff are meeting customer needs, booking demands and maintain high levels of cleaning and catering provision


• Oversee and co-ordinate the planning of all arrangements for bespoke functions, self-catering, bed and breakfast and conference bookings taken by the centre, dealing with clients' enquiries through all communication mediums to maximise centre earning potential and provide a high standard of customer care


• Undertake and maintain statutory risk assessments, COSHH and health and safety requirements relating to catering and domestic functions


• Monitor stock control and ordering records to establish accuracy of costs are within budget


• Identify staff performance and development related to catering and domestic requirements


• Take an active role in service development, including attending meetings, minute taking assisting in service marketing strategy and undertake training deemed necessary


• To undertake other duties appropriate to the House Manager role, which may include weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working

Requirements:

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate


• Customer focused, dealing with clients through all communication channels i.e. Phone, email and face to face


• Practical catering and cleaning responsibilities within a residential setting including staff rostering


• Experience of overseeing a catering and domestic team, meeting customer demands
