Do you want to be part of a team that is proud of their mission "Changing Lives through Employment?" Buckinghamshire Supported Internship is a flagship education programme, a partnership between Stony Dean School and Buckinghamshire Adult Learning that is very successful in supporting young people aged 18-24 with a learning disability. We are excited about our new venture starting in September 2024, with the launch of our Café located within the Holy Trinity Church in Aylesbury.
The Supported Internship is bespoke for each Intern and is designed to develop transferable skills, knowledge and attitudes in preparation for paid employment. Through specialist training and direct work placements, Interns will develop employability skills, self-confidence, job specific skills whilst working alongside employees in a real employment setting.
About the Role:
We seek an individual with passion, vision and flair to complete the initial set up of this exciting new venture before welcoming our first Interns in September 2024.

Primary Role To manage the running of the Café on a Monday and Tuesday with the support of an Employment Coach, working with 4 5 Interns.

The Café Manager will manage the existing Café 2 days a week. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Café, ensuring that we provide a high standard of food and coffee alongside outstanding customer service.

In addition to this you will work closely with the Employment Coach, supporting the training and mentoring of our Interns within the Café and the curriculum.

The is an exciting opportunity for someone with Café experience (although not essential) who is pro-active, can multi-task and work flexibly and efficiently as well as having a calm and compassionate nature.
