We are looking for a keen individual who has experience in Aged Care or Hospitality sector. This permanent full time role is a rare opportunity to lead a team that provides quality care in our community.The role involves food preparation and service for residents, catering for special diets, general cleaning, and the managing a team of staff.Great opportunity to join a friendly team, supportive environment that provides ongoing education and development opportunities. Flexible working conditions that support a work/life balance.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leading a team in preparation of ingredients / menu – adherence to service times with consistency and quality of food productSupervision of staffOrdering stockMonitoring food and labour costsMonitoring and promoting kitchen hygiene and food safety practicesResident and staff engagementPreparing and cooking of meals on a daily basisWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThe successful applicant will possess the following:Must have a valid NDIS or willing to obtain oneExceptional customer service and communication skillsDemonstrated experience in the preparation of food in the Aged Care preferably or Hospitality environmentExperience in managing / supervising a small teamAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to providing quality services to residentsCompliant with infection control and safe work practicesNo sponsorships or recruitment agencies will be considered. Communication skills are important to be successful.
