Catering Assistant

Interaction recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a 2 x Catering Assistant on behalf of our client based in Cambridge.

1 @ - 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday 10:30am-2:30pm - £12,586

1 @ - 30 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8:00am-2:30pm - £18,800

The successful candidate will work in our clients in house canteen/restaurant, you will be responsible for the following:

Work front-of-house, serving customers food, working on the till & cash handling.
Customer focused at all times by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
Assist with the day-to-day running of the Space Bar restaurant
Help the Catering Manager and Chefs to get ready for service by preparing food
Catering Assistants will be expected to peel, trim or wash food so it is ready to be cooked
Make sandwiches, paninis and salads, and associated tasks, to a high standard
Help produce food of an impeccable standard while adhering to health and safety regulations
Kitchen cleaning, including but not limited to washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, including while working, is achieved in all catering work areas.
You will have experience within a Hospitality and Catering setting and a strong understanding of customer service
