Category Procurement Manager

As the Category Procurement Managerat AllPoints Fibre youwill be reporting directly to the Senior Category Procurement Manager. Youwill play a pivotal role in supporting strategic procurement initiatives, optimising supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices within the Business Services IT category supporting all IT projects outside of core IT (non IT systems) as well as generalist Indirect Procurement (Business Services). What you will be doing:
Category
Strategy Development: Support the Senior Category
Procurement Manager in developing and executing a comprehensive
procurement strategy for the IT and Business Services category in
alignment with overall business objectives, fostering innovation, cost
savings, and supplier diversity.
Supplier
Relationship Management: Build and maintain
robust relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and
conditions, managing performance, and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
Cost Management:
Monitor market trends, analyse spend data, and implement cost-saving
initiatives while maintaining the highest quality standards and service
levels.
Strategic
Sourcing: Lead and support the end-to-end
sourcing process, including supplier selection, RFx creation, evaluation,
negotiation, and contract management, to ensure best-value solutions.
Cross-functional
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal
stakeholders across the business including Legal and Finance to align
procurement activities with business needs and provide expert guidance.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks within the IT and Business Services category and
develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Innovation and
Technology: Stay informed about emerging
technologies, market trends, and best practices within the telecoms
industry to drive innovation and competitiveness in procurement processes. About you:We are looking for someone withprogressive
experience in procurement and sourcing within generalist categories and IT. You will be able todemonstrate a proven track record of supporting
strategic and tactical initiatives and achieving cost savings. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of procurement trends,
technologies, and supplier landscape, as well as experience in managing supplier
relationships and negotiation. You will be exceptionally analytical and have strong data-driven
