Category Manager to join an Essex based Global Manufacturing company. After an in-depth conversation with the hiring manager to discuss all aspects of the Category Manager job we are looking for you if you have specific commodity management experience in Category Management/Procurement, You will have a proven background in a Strategic role. Due to the nature of the industry you will currently be working in either Defence / Aerospace / Medical / Engineering or Electrical Manufacturing in order to understand the rigorous compliance process needed to bring on board new suppliers.Joining this global organisation, you will be working under a very supportive manager, there is no micro managing going on in this department, with a hybrid model - 1 day working from home you will be joining a close knit but very busy team.Why consider a move?Why would you miss the opportunity to join an GBP8 Billion turnover Global company in the heart of Essex, due to the niche products they manufacture they have minimal competition and considering the current market they are future proof.You must understand and have proven experience of putting together a strategy re your current and future suppliers. Category Manager Duties;
Control of the sourcing strategy for a selected group of commoditiesIdentify, benchmark and select new suppliers to deliver your sourcing strategyManage an established global network of manufacturers to deliver materials against challenging and fluctuating MRP and project schedulesEstablish contracts and framework agreements to ensure security of supply and delivery of improvements against KPIs Category Manager Benefits you will receive; Salary - up to GBP60k Up to 6% pension scheme Health plan 37 hour working week 4 x Life Asssurance 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays - opportunity to purchase additional Support with professional development Employee Assistance Program
