Job DescriptionManaging supplier relationships and maintaining a professional rapport.Implementing strategic procurement initiatives to enhance efficiency.Overseeing the supply chain operations within the organisation.Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing sustainable procurement practices.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organisational goals.Monitoring market trends and adapting procurement strategies accordingly.Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organisational policies.Leading and motivating the procurement team to achieve set objectives. The Successful Applicant A successful Category Manager should have:Significant experience in procurement and supply chain management, within the public sector, not-for-profit or charities sector, or within social housing. A strong understanding of strategic procurement practices and supply chain operations.Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
