💲 Salary/Rate: £55 - £ 62 per/hr (inside IR35)
📍 Location: Hybrid Aldermaston & Winnersh, Reading - 2 days p/w on site
⏱️ Contract Duration: 10 months

We are currently looking for a Category Manager for our government client. This Category Manager role is hybrid based between 2 days per week on site and the remainder of the week working remotely. Office locations include Aldermaston and Winnersh, as the business needs.

The contract for the Category Manager position is initially for 10 months with potential to extend, offering an hourly rate within the range of £ 55 to £ 62.16, operating inside IR35.

Security Clearance: Security Check ("SC Clearance")

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

• NEC4 experience is essential
• Construction experience in a live public sector background - Building, installation, new process re kits, utilities, factory settings, sub stations
• Experience procuring on construction projects
• Knowledge of public sector procurement regulation and experience of applying these to contracts and procurements.
• An understanding of, and experience in procuring across various categories
• An understanding of and experience in managing contracts
• Knowledge of and experience in using Crown Commercial Service procurement frameworks
• An understanding of, and experience in procuring software and hardware
• Experience in liaising with a broad range of government stakeholders, and their suppliers
• Experience in delivering high value procurements.
• The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, bring together people and views to inform decision making.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Procurement management background
• Pulling tender/contract documents together - contracts (NEC conditions)
• Worked with legal teams
• Support with evaluating the tender, launching them, and handing the contract over to contract management
