We are partnering with a blue-chip client who are looking to bolster their current procurement department and require a Category Manager within security services. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sourcing activities within the security services whilst supporting the Head of Procurement in high-risk/value opportunities.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
- Identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and contracting with new suppliers.
- Regular benchmarking of current inputs, services, and suppliers to ensure our supply chain is delivering maximum value and innovation.
- Lead initiatives including rationalisation to increase spend compliance and concentration with preferred suppliers, delivering improved efficiencies and driving category maturity.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that quality, service, and client requirements are considered and applied when negotiating commercial value.
- Responsibility for all Security & Temporary Labour related spending.
- Supporting transformation within the Procurement team and implementing change management throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- CIPS qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience within Security & Temporary Labour in a Procurement role ideally, but not critical
- Category management experience.
- Commercially focused with a proven track record of cost reduction.
- A strong negotiator who understands TCO and utilises SRM to achieve the best value.
