Job Description
The Category Team is responsible for the management, interpretation and dissemination of market data throughout the business to enable informed strategic decision-making. The insights we prepare and the data we share are used everywhere from individual buying desks to the boardroom, telling the story of where we’re winning and where there are opportunities for our business to grow.
We are customer-focused and handle increasingly complex data sources to help bring the ALDI shoppers’ voice to the table, anywhere that decisions that will affect our shoppers are being made.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, this role involves preparing and circulating a variety of category reports, often to tight deadlines and always with precise attention to detail.

Your New Role
Contributes positively and constructively to the Category Team and the Corporate Buying Department
Drive, support and provide strategy related to business performance
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external parties and service providers when required
Ensures all projects within the area of responsibility are delivered on time and within the budget and scope agreed with the Category Manager
Actively manages the area of responsibility by using initiative, and suggesting ways of improving processes and systems for greater efficiency
Documents existing business processes and proposes new processes where required
Ensures adherence to all legal requirements, Health and Safety and Due Diligence measures in their area of responsibility
Assists the Category Department with testing of new procedures and systems
About You
Preparation of senior level reports
Excel and PowerPoint super-user
Data manipulation, interrogation and presentation of business performance
High levels of accuracy
Proven aptitude for interpreting data into meaningful insights
Comfortable dealing with complex data
Able to cope with multiple tasks
Able to work under pressure and deliver against short deadlines
Can deliver solutions autonomously
High levels of initiative and proactivity
What You’ll Get in Return
Salary starting from £36,080 rising to £42,135
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
