Our goal is simple and ambitious JDE: A coffee &tea for every cup.Job DescrJob DescriptionAs a Category Development Specialist you will be part ofthe Category Development and Shopper Marketing team, which forms partof the wider Sales function. You will report to the Demand AcceleratorController working cross functionally with other departments todeliver the Coffee Category goals.You will be accountable for,analysis of shopper behaviour and opportunities, range reviews anddeveloping and implementing customer specific category plans inco-operation with the customer, National Account Manager and SalesController.You will deliver and implement the category BigRock JDE priorities including our love and launch NPD, ensuring theyare Ready to Sell.You will be responsible a number of oursmaller gold priority retail customers.Keyresponsibilities of the roleSupported by theCategory Development Grocery lead you will be responsible for:ExternalDevelop a trustedrelationship with your customers to ensure JDE is their supplier ofchoice, via regular in person contact.Present the CategoryVision and align to your customers strategy to deliver long-termcoffee category growth both for JDE and your customer, as identifiedin the Value Creation Plan and Brand Plans. Monitor the implementationand defined targets.Lead on going promotional analysis,identifying what to stop, start or continue in order to maximisepromotional effectiveness for JDE and your customers in collaborationwith sales, category strategy / RGM and your buyer.Advisesales on the distribution and assortment strategy as well asdeveloping customer specific planograms, if required.Rangereview support for some of your customers, not all will have the datato do full range reviews plus prioritization is required.On-going evaluation of range, space, sales driving activityand advising both the national account manager and the customer on howthey can increase sales and profit. Regular performance reports withkey insights / actionsDeliver quarterly PQAs (ProductQuadrant Analysis) and collaboratively manage under-performing skuswith the customer and internallyDeliver the annual customerbrand planning day tailored for your customers.Internal (for your customers only)Own the customer range review calendar and ensure alignmentwith marketing and other key stakeholders on optimum launch dates andcustomer shelf requirements.Work with category strategy andbrand teams to successfully implement NPDs and re-launches, to ensuredistribution, market share and profit.Feed into PerfectStore reporting for your customers identifying areas to action.PQA quarterly proactively manage risk skus internallyInput to monthly commercial reviews for your customers -performance, risk and ops.Deliver / input the categoryelements of the annual customer business planning process.Collaborate with shopper on activation and evaluationQualificationsThis role would suit agraduate with a minimum of 2 years-experience predominately gained inCategory Development, Buying or Account Management roles in FMCG:Deep knowledge of UK retail shoppers and customersProven at working in x-functional teams, especially acrosssales and marketingMarketing literate, able to navigatestrategic consumer and brand strategy and executional, commercialdetail to develop an integrated strategyHas knowledge ofseveral information system tools (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby etc)Excellent Excel and PowePoint skillsAble to workclosely with numbers and break down complexity to deliver clearmessagingSelf-Motivated highly disciplinedInfluencing skills and the ability to manage and leadmultiple stakeholders at all levels.Brilliant impactpresenting to senior management & customers and also credible withAccount ManagersBe accountable and have a drive to deliverresultsBe degree educated (or equivalent)Be mobileand willing to travel as required for customer meetingsFluent EnglishAdditional Information#li-hybridADZN1_UKTJ
