As a Category Analyst, you'll delve deep into market data, uncovering insights that drive strategic decisions. Your role involves analysing consumer trends, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and optimize product assortments. Picture yourself influencing product development and marketing strategies, directly impacting the company's market position and profitability. skills and make a tangible impact on our business growth. Location: Birmingham Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 Job type: Full time, permanent opportunity - Monday to Friday (08:30 – 16:30)Hybrid working model which offers 2/3 days remote working.
The role:
Updating, maintaining and development of weekly, monthly and quarterly category/market reports working closely with our key insight and data partners.Analyse, interpret and present Market Data and Shopper behaviour data identifying opportunities for growth.Analyse customer specific sale data (EPOS) and distribution data to identify opportunities for targeted sales and trade marketing activity.Prepare Weekly & Monthly reports in Excel and PowerPoint, communicating and distributing these insights across the businessDevelop and deliver insight presentations for internal and external meetings as requiredBring new thinking and ideas how the business best communicates data and insight from multiple sources.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in category management.Evaluate the performance of Sales & Marketing activityBuild Strong relationships with the commercial team (Sales & Marketing) The ideal candidate:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey insightsProven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departmentsAdept to identifying challenges, developing solutions, and implementing strategiesMeticulous attention to detailStrong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and integrate learning from multiple sources and see connections in data trends to generate insight.High level of computer literacy (Excel & PowerPoint)A strong attention to detail and curious by nature
