Our specialist CASS team sits within our Financial Services team which is one of JC's fastest growing business areas. Our client base is broad with clients of all shapes and sizes across the UK, from start up entities to FTSE-250 companies.
We are flexible on location within the central belt of Scotlandhowever would consider other UK locations in commutable distance to our offices.
As we continue to grow and establish our FS practice, we are looking for individuals who relish working across a wide range of disciplines including audit, business development and building the team.
The ideal candidate would be a key contributor to the practice’s strategy and development, be involved in business development alongside our leadership team, as well as delivery of CASS assurance, responding to technical queries and supporting on learning and development.
Business development is a key focus area and we want you to build your network, prepare and pitch proposals to prospective clients and be an ambassador at firm and industry events. When new guidance, regulations and consultation papers are published, we want you to provide insights to the market through thought leadership papers and webinars. We will support you with membership of relevant industry bodies.

TheCASS Specialist will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Principal contact for clients on day-to-day matters, from planning through to completion of assignments
Training, supporting and delegating to team members ensuring deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team, providing feedback as and when required
Preparing and monitoring budgets and issuing client fees
Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge for statutory and CASS audits, and related FCA regulations
Ensuring internal and external expectations are achieved, including supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering strategic targets
Supporting opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace
Contributing to new opportunities and securing new work, with the support of the wider senior management team and Business Development team
Building effective working relationships with clients and staff at all levels
Acting as an ambassador for the firm
About You:
Strong industry and technical knowledge ideally within wealth and investment management
Relevant experience in managing multiple client portfolios ideally in a practice setting
A leader of your work and your professional learning
Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others at all levels
Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred
ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA qualification or equivalent
