The Cash Operations department provides effective cash management for funds moving into and out of the AJ Bell Platform.The purpose of the role is to manage and optimise workflows through the Cash Operations department and to train, develop and coach team members to deliver the highest standard of operational service.This role will also be the initial referral point for all technical queries from within the team and other teams.What does the job involve?The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:Leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environmentEnsuring that all team tasks are carried in an efficient and controlled manner with timely and accurate record keepingEnsuring all internal and external SLAs are metDevelopment and production of effective KPI Data and MI in order to maximise productivity in the achievement of SLAsEnsure team procedures are up to date and in line with company standardsMaintaining our high standards of customer service through carrying out regular QA checks and providing feedbackCoaching and developing staff, including regular 121’s and performance reviews, ensuring that training needs are identified and addressedContinually review of existing risks and identify new risks as appropriate. Develop and maintain effective key controls in order to minimise risk to the business.Co-operate with all other teams to ensure efficient operating processes and a positive client experienceDealing with customer queries promptly and appropriately and prevent formal complaints where possibleEnsuring compliance with FCA Regulations at all times, with breaches/suspected breaches reported to Line Manager immediatelySupport project implementations, fixes and upgrades through comprehensive testing of software and assisting with the definition of processes and proceduresPerform ad hoc tasks as per the business needs as defined by the Operational Banking & Cash manager and Head of CustodyCompetence, Knowledge or Skills:Team Leading experience or significant experience of working in a senior office basedroleExperience within the financial services is desirable but not essentialDemonstrable knowledge of the client money rules in relation to investment business (CASS) desirableKnowledge of banking payment methods (such as BACS, Faster Payments, Debit Card, Cheques)About Us:AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers, to DIY investors with little to no experience.
