We pride ourselves on tailoring our service to customer needsWe are currently looking to recruit an experienced Wholesale Cash & Carry Manager for Southampton. This is an exciting and demanding role that requires flexible working hours which include evenings and weekends. It is a key position in the organization that is highly challenging, suitable for those with excellent leadership, communication, time management and organizational skills.Reporting to our Managing Director you will, through your team, ensure the customer service we offer is exceptional by building long lasting relationships with both current and new customers.The successful candidate will be an excellent leader, with a flair for making sound commercial customer decisions.Key Duties (but not limited to):Maximise the profitability of the Cash & Carry through effective control of sales, margins and overheadsManage day to day product availability through accurate sales forecasting, and ordering.Create a customer / sales focused working environment.Create a positive atmosphere with the Cash & Carry with both employees and customers, encouraging the team to take pride in their work and focus on delivering high levels of customer serviceSupport your Area in maximising commercial sales activities with your Cash & Carry, spotting opportunities for growth by having a high level of knowledge of customers and their requirements and researching new opportunitiesBe aware of our competitors and pricing so you can feedback to the Area Manager and internal teams as well as discuss with customers how we can improveOversee and managed debt within your Cash & CarryResponsible for the stock within your Cash & CarryEnsure your Cash & Carry is manned to the expected levels and your team are trained in line with our induction processLiaise with Human Resources to ensure compliance with statutory law requirements are followedPromote a safe working environment within your team and to lead by example ensuring all incidents, accidents and near miss details are reported through top the central HR teamEnsure you adhere to all health and safety policies and risk assessments e.g. first aid, fire drills are completed.
