Carpentry/Multi Skills Lecturer

Join Westminster Kingsway College's dynamic team as a Carpentry/Multi Skills Lecturer. We are looking for a dedicated individual to teach a variety of occupational units on all levels of Plumbing programs. Key Responsibilities:
Teach up to level 2 in Carpentry/Multi Skills.Deliver courses and provide student support and pastoral care.Prepare teaching materials using Pro Monitor, MS Teams, and Google Classrooms.Assess students' work and attendance, utilizing PLP system (Pro-Monitor) for progress monitoring.Liaise with employers for work experience placements and assess students in the workplace.Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, enrollment, and examination procedures.Integrate English and maths into vocational teaching.Contribute to curriculum development, monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance.Assist in marketing, recruiting, interviewing, and assessing students.Attend College and section meetings, as well as relevant staff development events.Undertake other duties as appropriate. Qualifications/Professional Development:
Minimum Level 1 Trade qualification.Assessor awards/Teaching qualification/AET/PTTLS, etc.Experience of acting as IQA for City and Guilds electrical courses. Skills/Abilities:
Ability to relate to, communicate effectively with, and counsel students.Passion and commitment for working with 16-19 year-olds.Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and provide team leadership if needed.High level of organizing and administrative skills.Ability to work with employers and assessors in workforce development for Electrical.Deliver employability skills at all levels and embed Maths and English in vocational subjects.
