Care Team Leader - Private nursing care home near Reading - NVQ level 2 required


  • Location: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
  • Position:  Care Team leader
  • Care Categories: Nursing home providing care to older aged vulnerable adults
  • Salary: £13.85 p/h (Mon-Fri) + weekend enhancements ( £14.85 )
  • Hours: Full time 37.5h
  • Shifts:  Advanced rota consisting of 3 different shifts ( 1x long day , 1x morning shift 1x afternoon shift + rotational weekends )
  • Contract type: Permanent

A lovely modern 60 - bedded service offering nursing and residential care to older aged vulnerable adults. Purpose built service , offering high standards of care to resident with a well-rounded activity programme each week . Private, non-profit - we invest every penny back to the care for the residents and the home.
We are looking for a passionate and confident senior care assistant to provide leadership and guidance to our care assistant team and keep standards of care high.
Requirements:
NVQ level 2 mandatory - NVQ level 3 desirable
Nursing home experience
Experience in medication support
Some level of previous leadership experience
As a Care team leader you will:
 


  • Provide leadership to the team acting as a positive role model at all times.
  • Manage rotas on a daily basis.
  • Lead the shift, ensuring staff give support that follows individual's care plans and daily support plans. Provide effective supervision to the Seniors and Support Workers on your team.
  • Complete observations, competency assessments and training with care team members whilst also ensuring buddies support new starters.
  • Work co-operatively with activities staff to ensure residents spiritual and social needs are met.
  • Proactively develop professional and clinical skills in order to enhance the knowledge and skills needed for safe and effective practice.
