Care Home Manager

An opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager wanted to step into a Managerial role to join a well stablished home based in Battle.

About the Role

• To lead, direct, supervise and support staff working within the Home in providing a network of services which can respond flexibly to the needs of the Residents as individuals.


• To ensure that budgetary control of the Home is maintained in accordance with Care Matters (SE) Ltd financial guidelines.


• Overall responsibility for management of the Home in an efficient and effective manner within available resources and controlled budgets.


• Appointment of staff at all levels below that of Manager which will include advertising as necessary, taking up references, conducting interviews, completing health checks and applying for disclosure in line with relevant procedures. Holding exit interviews.


• To provide induction training, information and supervision to staff as appropriate, ensuring they are conversant with their duties, rights and responsibilities.


• To promote good communication by means of staff meetings, written and verbal

About You

• NVQ Level 4 in Care or working towards


• 3 Years experience working in a Supervisor position


• HACCP's certificate in Risk Assessment and Health and Safety


• Budget management experience


• Previous team builds and recruitment
