Care Home Manager (Nurse Qualified)



Permanent position 



Location: Colchester, Essex



Hours: Full time 37.5 (flexible)



Salary:  Circa £60,000 (negotiable)



Casanovas Recruitment Solutions have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager to join a large, reputable and award-winning Nursing Home in Colchester. As the Care Home Manager, you will be expected to Lead and inspire staff by providing operational and clinical matters to the Home whilst offering outstanding care.



The role:



Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing and Older People’s Services, the Home Manager will be the Registered Manager with CQC and be responsible for the overall leadership and management, ensuring the home provides high-quality care and support to all residents, visionary leadership to the workforce whilst meeting financial targets and maintaining regulatory compliance in line with the health and Social Care Act..



Key responsibilities:




  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred standards of care to all residents

  • Demonstrate an ongoing visible presence within the service and work collaboratively with all other teams as required

  • Successfully lead the management team to meet operation requirements whilst delivering financial targets

  • Ensure service delivery meets the requirements of the contract, regulatory requirements as set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

  • Work proactively and in close partnership with Quality and Governance Leads to continuously improve service delivery for customers.

  • Develop, support and coach managers to improve their leadership and management skills including financial and budgetary planning.

  • Oversee the auditing process for the home and use technology to monitor progress and action plans.

  • Effective communication with customers, staff, commissioning teams and other stakeholders demonstrating positive and sustainable relationships.

  • Oversee and manage Safe reporting to CQC, Safeguarding and other regulatory bodies



Skills required:




  • Previous experience of managing a large residential nursing home effectively

  • Experience nurse with current NMC Pin Number

  • Experience of dementia care, heart disease and stroke patients and cognitive impairment

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Must have full driving licence with access to own vehicle
